KRONOS BUSINESS ANALYST Duration of Project 2,400.0 Location Washington, DC Deliverables This procurement is for the services of a Kronos Implementation Business Analyst in support of the ongoing MetroTime project to develop and implement a standard timekeeping management system for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) enterprise. The Business Analyst Consultant will play a critical role in assisting in the technical analysis, technical documentation and business process design required for the success of the MetroTime project. The Business Analyst Consultant will play a critical role in assisting in the business functional tasks required for the success of the MetroTime project. In this role the Business Analyst will participate in the various phases of the development and implementation of the new timekeeping management system Experience with analyzing workforce scheduling, timekeeping, attendance and related processes for improvement using an automated system. Hands-on working experience with KRONOS (Workforce Timekeeper, Time Attendance, Scheduling, Absence Management, Telestaff) timekeeping and workforce management system. Experience should include one or more of Kronos configuration setup and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience in several successful Kronos implementations at other customer sites. Experience in business process re-engineering tasks, on how to best integrate and use the new system in the customer environment. Experience at the rolling out of new timekeeping systems at customer sites. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more of the following Kronos solution areas Implement data collection devices o Configuration, of pay rules, work rules, attendance, accruals, schedules within Kronos v8 Perform business rule and process analysis Conduct application orientation for customers Analyze enhanced requirements and create process documentation, diagrams and feature specifications Design implement, and troubleshoot of data interfaces to and from Kronos. o Understand and configure base level (non-complex) software interfacing products Consult with customers on system configuration, industry specific features and system processes and procedures o Aid with training material development Provide knowledge transfer to key client employee on various areas of the applications Ability to work across organizations to coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible with their needs and requirements. Demonstrated experience establishing strong relationships with Operational, IT, and financial organizations. Coordinate and facilitate technical incident response and resolution policy and procedures. Ensure that the project is compliant with the WMATA ITs quality management system (QMS) based on the ISO 90012015 framework. Ensure the projects processes are compliant with WMATA ITs system development lifecycle management (SDLC) framework. Facilitates collaboration, including coordinating and facilitating meetings, within and across business units and across IT and CFO functions. Review, edit and proofreads materials written by others. Analyze problems for correct prioritization and classification. Define and maintain the problem management process and procedure. Work cross organizationally to ensure problems are solved promptly and effectively. Supplemental Duties Knowledge of HR systems, such as PeopleSoft HCM, Accounting, Payroll. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Project, Visio and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience in a project leadership role. Demonstrated experience establishing strong relationships with operational, IT and financial management. Perform high caliber qualitative and quantitative analyses. Ability to communicate effectively with developers and other technical resources in order to create the required artifacts. Knowledge of CMMI, ITIL and ISO 90012015 is a requirement. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Group facilitation experience. Demonstrated knowledge of the artifacts generated from the Software Development Life Cycle and the Project Development Life Cycle. Formal training in organization development, complex systems analysis, group facilitation, or information systems requirements analysis. Extended experience with developing roadmaps.
