The only energy council of its kind, the PROPANE EDUCATION & RESEARCH COUNCIL (PERC), a Washington, D.C. based non-profit, works with retailers, consumers, and partner industries to drive technology development in order to expand adoption of propane as a clean, domestic, and affordable energy source.
PERC is looking for a motivated self-starter who can handle all the tasks of this exciting new position which include scheduling training sessions, coordinating with the trainers, assisting in creating the content, ensuring the materials are shipped to the venue, and attending the sessions as needed. Work Location: Washington, D.C. office
The Program Coordinator, Training assists in creating industry sales training programs, to include content/meeting materials, as well as development, deployment and coordination of the training events. Communicates information about the training programs to the industry and identifies and coordinates outreach to target audiences for training programs and products. Coordinates workforce recruitment activities including outreach to technical schools, training development with market leads, and communications planning for Sales Summits and support of industry facing training/meetings. Maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants; orders, prepares, and assembles communications resources and related supplies and materials; organizes and supervises registration and event set-up; coordinates event timelines; assists in the review and compilation of training evaluations, etc. for online and in-person meetings and programs.Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
1-2 years of directly related experience.
Ability to manage budgets.
Research and respond to inquiries and makes referrals to appropriate resources.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts and influencers.
Conducts research to support program initiatives.
Receives, processes, and tracks requests for materials.
Familiarity with learning management systems is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Good at follow up
Bachelor s degree.
Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications, or Standards:
Background in training and development preferred.
Office Work Environment (76%-100%)
Travel (up to 50%)
