Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with 2 4 years of healthcare transactional experience to join our nationally recognized healthcare practice in either our New York City or Washington, D.C., office. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in healthcare law and demonstrated experience in complex healthcare transactions as well as in governance and regulatory matters. Experience with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations and other complex transactions involving healthcare systems and hospitals is a plus. Our healthcare practice is uniquely multidisciplinary, bringing a wide range of legal, regulatory, advocacy and strategic advisory skills to our clients' transactions. Our healthcare transactional and regulatory team provides strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues, assists with the structuring and negotiation of transactions, represents clients in government audits and investigations, implements a variety of contractual arrangements, and counsels clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the healthcare industry. We serve a diverse group of clients that includes hospitals, community health centers, managed care plans and insurers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacy chains, nursing homes, regional health information organizations, telehealth and other healthcare technology providers, and a variety of healthcare industry vendors.Requirements: 2 4 years of substantive healthcare transactional/regulatory experience, preferably at a major law firm Demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm for healthcare issues and trends Outstanding academic credentials Excellent research, writing and communication skills Effective and efficient problem solvers with the ability to work independently and proactively NY/DC bar membership in good standingJoin the Team: All candidates must apply through our online application portal.
