Jacobs is seeking a IT Project Manager in Washington, DC. Duties will include:

  • Employ Enterprise Architecture (EA) techniques and methodologies for solving architecture portfolio challenges in support of the Department of Homeland Security and its supported components.
  • Use automated techniques to build Enterprise Architecture artifacts to JARM, FEA or DODAF standards.
  • Develop prototypes and bring structure to large quantities of data to make automated analysis possible.
  • Provide technical expertise to support migration of applications and data sets to cloud environments.
  • Employ project management techniques and procedures to plan, manage, and deploy Cross Domain Solution Services across DHS components.
  • Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years to eight (8) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
  • Understanding of FEA, JARM, and DODAF concepts and enabling tools and technologies.
  • Experience preparing documentation, schedules and reports needed by Government to manage IT Enterprise services such as cross-domain.
  • Experience performing independent validation and verification of IT Enterprise services.
  • Preferred Qualifications (desired but not required): Keen interest in using the latest data science techniques and methods to solve real world problem sets vital to national security. Direct Experience with DHS and Intelligence Community (IC) component's data architectures and environments. Expertise in various COTS, GOTS, and open source tools which support EA modeling. Understanding of the Intelligence Community Information Technology Environment (IC ITE) data architectures, tools and services. One or more of the following certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II, Network +, ITIL, AWS Associate or Professional Solution Architect. Experience performing project management to include abilities to establish WBS, IMS, and track Risk. Experience communicating IT service and project status to Senior Executives.
  • Essential Functions Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Work Environment:

    General Office environment. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

    Equipment & Machines:

    General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

    Attendance:

    Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

    Other Essential Functions: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
