The Program Analyst supports a microenterprise development program at a government agency in Washington, DC. The program promotes economic self-sufficiency by providing assistance with development, expansion, or maintenance of a beneficiary-owned micro-business.
Draft and Publish Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA)
Provide Technical Assistance and Conduct Outreach
Provide guidance to grantees regarding strategies for improving project performance and/or overcoming identified obstacles
Conduct Grant Processing and management activities
Conduct Reporting and analysis: Analyze grantees' program and financial reports and data relative to program objectives;
Enter relevant data (reports, actions, communications) into grants management system
Prepare reports and recommendations and present them to senior leadership
Monitor program performance and assist in the design/modification of monitoring protocols
Oversee and manage site visits with agencies, associations, and other government funded entities
Provide support on a range of analytical tasks to support decision making
Analyze user needs and perform research and analysis on a variety of projects
Develop presentations and present them at various formal and informal settings
8-10 years of related experience.
Direct working knowledge of the key players in US microenterprise field
Knowledge and experience of working with a community-based organization preferred
Must be collaborative, flexible team player with the ability to think creatively to solve problems
Experience in project/program monitoring
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
The ability to travel domestically six to eight times per year is required
