Cyber Security Analyst Advisor Job Location USA-DC-Washington Requisition ID 2019-54122 of Openings 1 Job Function Information Technology Security Clearance Level Top SecretSCI with Polygraph FullPart Time Full Time Job Description Responsible for defending and protecting Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities. Functional duties consist of Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators. Monitors and analyzes Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation. Analyze and triage of network anomalies that should be considered Events of Interest (EOI). Provide basic assessment of the anomaly, designate it as an EOI and coordinate response with CND response team. Communicate alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems. Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices. Perform periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance. Prepare incident reports of analysis methodology and results. Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technical staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participate in special projects as required. Position may require evening, weekend or shift-work (depending on operational tempo). Education BABS Qualifications 8+ years of experience . A TSSCI clearance Candidate's willingness to obtain and maintain CI Poly.
