Job Number: R0047181 Technical Programmatic Engineer/Scientist Key Role: Provide Technical SETA support for a research program working to develop technology for energy-efficient superconducting computers that is scalable to operational size. Provide technical advice and support to the client program manager (PM) in areas that include program closeout and transition to parties interested in the technology. Provide technical support in areas that include superconductors, magnetic and cryogenic device physics, electrical engineering, and computer architecture and engineering. Review technical materials, provide technical analysis and critiques of progress and test reports, conduct research literature searches on selected topics, and draft programmatic and technical documents. Assist the PM with preparing management briefs, support the PM with preparation for and during meetings, including technical exchange meetings, and support the PM in conducting site visits to performers, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), and government entities providing special capabilities. Communicate complex research results in written and spoken form to support a six month review cycle and other occasional reporting and documentation requirements. Provide technical support for the program, including seedling projects, as required. Basic Qualifications: -5+ years of experience with two or more of the following: Digital superconductor devices, Cryogenic device physics and engineering, Cryogenic system engineering and integration, and physical properties of thin magnetic, superconducting, and dielectric films, especially at cryogenic temperatures -Experience with integrated circuit design and manufacturing -TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph -PhD in Physics, Computer Engineering, or EE Additional Qualifications: -Experience with the intelligence community (IC) Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
