The Vehicle Test Operator will be on the cutting edge of testing new autonomous vehicles. This individual will be either in the \"driver\" or \"passenger\" spot within the vehicles and will switch back and forth between the positions. In the Driver position the individual will be sitting in the vehicle hovering their hands over the steering wheel as well as the breaking system. There are not any expected reasons to need to use either, but this is just in case and for safety. The Passenger will have a laptop and will be marking down any abnormalities within the car. Our client is seeking individuals who have a strong passion to further technology and are looking for a long term career with a quickly growing autonomous vehicle company. Additionally we are looking for:

  • Strong desire to learn new skills related to technology and software
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to span a large and varied workforce
  • Detail oriented mindset with a focus on safety and procedure
  • Ability to operate a vehicle in a professional manner for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

    • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle with 5+ years of experience and a clean driving record
    • Ability to monitor software via laptop and type effectively in a moving vehicle
    • Ability to pass DMV Assessment
  • Ability to Type 40wpm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional work environment where safety, procedure and/or testing were emphasized
  • Experience operating an autonomous vehicle
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field of study
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in technology

  • Occasional travel to remote offices and test facilities
