6-181###-#### Computer Security Analyst 6-181###-#### Computer Security Analyst WASHINGTON,DC FIRST ROUND TELEPHONIC THEN F2F INTERVIEW LOCAL TO DC OR NEARBY JOB DESCRIPTION Key responsibilities Coordinate, plan, schedule, and execute initiatives for the complete support and management of the IT security posture based metrics for the Federal client Establish and maintain the IT Security Program metrics Evaluate a collection of data and interpret all provided data collection Support the development of tailored of data collection presentation for reporting to senior level management Work with the Security team to gain data from various results from tools and scripts for data compilation Ability to determine best means for data collection and presentation for an accurate calculation for trends within the data reported for analysis of Active Directory (AD), Organizational Units (OUs) and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to optimize data analytics monitoring and reporting. Work with the Security Team load, set up collections, and run scans for data collection for metric reports Analyze changes to AD OUsGPOs, privileged access activities, and certification of privilege accounts Able to create and run macros, organize and manipulate data within MS Excel and interpret powershell script results Work as a key member of the IT Security Team to compile security data identification of trends for a visual interpretation Work with the various IT Teams for validation of data and comparison Participate (as needed) in explanation of data results for upper management Conduct continuous independent research better approaches industry best practices and presentations to management Develop and document the metrics process Assist in researching, evaluating, and developing relevant Information security policies and guidance. Act as the lead security adviser for data metrics and interpretation of data for security Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of technical experience (Computer system design, security tools, basic script results analysis, and computer security) Bachelors of Science Degree (or equivalent experience) U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time. Understanding and minimal experience with Active Directory Objects and Policies (OUGPO). Minimal experience with Microsoft Windows 7810 and Server 2012R2 and above for all server types and roles Understanding of security tools (antivirus, NAC, SIEM, Active Directory, etc.) Analyzing powershell script results ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Preferred Qualifications Possess broad working knowledge of Excel data filtering, pivot tables, charts, graphs, macros, etc. Possess broad working knowledge of IT Security functionality and understand a broad scope of security tools for data collections. Possess knowledge of security data analytics and metric reporting. Possess strong analytic abilities, as well as experience performing data manipulation within Excel for security analysis and risk management as it relates to security metrics. Possess ability to perform data analytics in pursuit of overall goals with minimal direction Possess excellent written and professional oral communications skills to develop and present security metric reporting and security recommendations. Possess the ability to translate an understanding of data results provided from applications, scripts and security tools for reporting. Demonstrated ability to analyze data for recommendations and suggest increased efforts for improvements to collecting and presenting data results. Possess a broad knowledge of Information Security metrics, as well as the ability to assist in data collection for evaluation and additional enhancements.
